It is indeed sad to read your story. Unfortunately, we live in a world
where there are people who have no feeling about stealing from someone
else.
It does not matter how much it hurts the person, or how they suffer from
the
ordeal. Our prisons are so full, they know the law will let them off the
hook if they are caught. The legal profession, in my mind did a grave
injustice when they set a precedent that "The punishment cannot exceed the
crime". When my mother raised me, I could EXPECT that the punishment
would
exceed the crime. Today, my mother would be jailed for the way she raised
me! Before she passed away, I was smart enough to give he a big "I Love
you" hug and tell he I that I really appreciated the way she kept this
unruly kid in line.
Several years ago we had an airplane fly into Delaware Airpark after
midnight and the occupants broke into several airplanes and ripped off the
radios and flew away. They had set off a silent alarm, but by the time the
airport owner arrived they had done their dirty work. The only reason he
knew it was an airplane was because he had checked the parking lot first.
He did not have a clue an airplane was now sitting at the end of the
runway.
He drove his car out onto the ramp and the next thing he saw was the
runway
lights light up and an airplane taking off with no lights. They got away
clean.
I am fortunate in being able to keep my airplane in a secure, locked
hangar.
If I get to the point I can no longer afford that luxury, it will be put
up
for sal and I am done flying. Our society is going down hill very rapidly
and no one seems to care. This makes me very sad.
If I owned any of these parts, I would ship them off to you today- - no
charge.
