I am deeply touched by the response to my misfortune. Many of you
had asked where this feindish action was purpitrated. The aircraft S/N
457 was being stored at a small airport South east of Springfield, MO.
At one time I knew of about 6 coupes in the area, and am aware of at
least 1 restoration possibly 2. As well as a ground handling mishap
which may have required some of the parts romoved. However since I know
2 of these Gentlemen personally, I know they would not do such a thing.
As well I know the airport where the coupe was being stored is out of
the way and it's gates, as a general rule remain locked at all times,
even when the owner is there.
I have been discussing the situation with my wife, concerning the
replacement of the missing parts. I will be replacing them as soon as
finances will allow. I would like to thank you all for your deep
concern, and will be in touch with those that have offered assistance.
