Your coupe probably made in 1946, 47, has many old auto parts on it. If you will go to a gen. o-haul shop for tractors are old cars and tell them what you are doing they will be able to sell, are tell you about your voltage reg. at about 1/5 of the price. Also your fuel pump is a 1946 Ford pump. This system is no difference than a old John Deer tractor, it is about the simplest you can get. Probably some of the modern day mechanics will probably disagree, oh so what. Last year, I needed a fuel sending unit for my 1959, 172, I went to the auto parts store ordered the same part that you would buy at the aviation store for $169. for $22.
