   I really do not know, but I will bet you are right,
I do not have hull insured airplanes, and have not for
thirty years, in most cases if you will lay these
parts next to each other, the numbers are the same,
like the fuel sending unit, all bearing and seals are
the same, and there is not a sto number on these
parts, I personal use trailer tubes, they are the
same. Oh, just remembered, a mag drive bearing for a
lycoming O-540, is a vacum cleaner motor bearing that
cost $1.53, and the Lycoming people will send you the
same bearing, make and number with no sto for $88.00.
I guess the experts can give you a argument about
these ways of doing things, but so what.  If one of
these parts would of caused a problem for a crash the
insurance would have a bitch.  But if I would have
insurance, I still would not hesitate using some of
these parts.
