Hi all,
Does anybody know if it makes any difference if a connecting rod is in the right place?  They are numbered 1-4 on top of the bolt boss.  I have got the cylinders off of there right at the moment.  The person who overhauled mine last didn't put the rods in the right places, probably just to further decrease my confidence.  They did get them right side up, at least.  I have been debating whether it is neccessary to change them or not.  I can't see much reason to do so.  I wonder if it would be okay to take them loose and switch them, while putting new bearings in.  There is no way of getting anything done to the crankpin finish without taking the crank out, so I can't figure if it is a good idea to just stick new bearings on the rods or not.  Glen Ward
