----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- 1. "...a great cross country plane, but it is not as good for sightseeing as the wings block the view and especially because it won't slow down like a Cub will."
No more than any other low wing aircraft. If it was as slow as a Cub it would not be very good x-country would it? 2. It is best to fly the Ercoupe off a wide runway, especially if you have much wind." Yes, the runway should be at least 15-20 feet wide. If your cross wind component exceeds 25 mph then you might want something say 30 feet wide. Seriously, the Coupe is an outstanding cross wind aircraft. We have more than one 20 foot wide runway here in Washington State, and width is NOT a factor. 3. An Ercoupe can "land very short, but it takes a strong stomach as the speeds over the threshold are pretty darn fast." A bit faster than other planes, but after a few landings, not a factor. 4. "Climb with 2 people is scary on a hot day." No more so than say a Cessna 150 Cheers: Paul N2273H __________________________________________________ To unsubscribe from this list please send mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ___________________________________________________________ T O P I C A The Email You Want. http://www.topica.com/t/16 Newsletters, Tips and Discussions on Your Favorite Topics
