----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- In my search for information about owning an
Ercoupe, one pilot recommended I "get a little time in one before buying."
Sounds like great advice. He also made the following comments about flying
a 'Coupe that seem to make good sense. Can anyone comment?
Thanks.
1. "...a great cross country plane, but it is
not as good for sightseeing as the wings block the view and especially because
it won't slow down like a Cub will."
2. It is best to fly the Ercoupe off a wide
runway, especially if you have much wind."
3. An Ercoupe can "land very short, but it
takes a strong stomach as the speeds over the threshold are pretty darn
fast."
4. "Climb with 2 people is scary on a hot
day."
