----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- My recently acquired M10 is developing a problem keeping the left wing up. It appears that once weight is put on the wing (climbing on the wing to enter the canopy) the gear compresses down and does not raise back to level unless you lift it up manually. My A/P has not worked on Ercoupes/M10's before, and is unfamiliar with how to service this type of gear. Unfortunately, the service manual for my aircraft covers only the standard spring-steel type gear, not the optional Oleo gear.
Any ideas on what could be causing this problem and how to remedy it?
