When I inquired about permanent ballast I was surprised to find out that there are a number of coupes out there with weights in the tail cone. 2 1/2, 3, 3 1/2 these are weights that were mentioned. That's a pretty fierce moment arm. I wonder how many Coupes are out there that have the empty weight CG too far forward. I can see how a too far forward CG would be real undesirable with our limited elevator authority. I would like to weigh my own Coupe to see just how far off the weight & balance data is. However home projects are forbidden at the A & P school I am attending.
