The fellow who trained me how to fly 'Coupes was very firm about one thing. He told me that if I had enough runway, I could land at full flying speed if I had to, but that until I _really_ knew my airplane to never, never, never land it slow. He taught me to rotate at 60, climb at 80, final at 80, land at 75. I haven't had a hard one yet, and I'm at about 150 hours in my birdie, so I guess it was pretty good advice. He said he'd seen more 'Coupes landed hard because of low airspeed than for any other reason.
