----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]----I just thought I'd fill you in on a phone call I made to report a violation
to the FAA.
On or about 8:22 PM 10/31/00 I did observe an extremely low flying
"aircraft" in the vicinity of the Maltby Cemetary. Now keep in mind there are
many nearby schools in this area having halloween parties, so I think the
1000 ft. rule does apply. I observed the following infractions:
No Nav lights displayed, however there was a reflection off the wart on the
nose of the pilot... (Green in color so I'll have to assume this was on the
Starboard side...)
Apparently doing IFR training "Hood time" without a checkpilot present
confirmed by the large hat upon the pilots head.
Not practicing proper Noise abatement procedures (not by reducing the noise
of the aircraft but by that DAMN CACKLE!)
Appeared to be a retractable gear Ultralight of some sort... couldn't get
an N Number, but could see the name "Sweep-o-matic" clearly spelled out on
the "fuselage".
Did not make proper radio contact in Class C airspace.... but did however
refer to everyone on the ground as "My Pretties" whatever that means.
Please keep me updated on what progress, if any, is made to apprehend
the WICKED perpetrator of the above activities.
