> what do you all do if you can't fly.(Let's not get too bad here) Well, being married to a X Hooters Waitress, who made a fortune with a Dot Com web site, my days are filled. Rubbing suntan lotion, cleaning the pool so all her X work friends can come over. (Oh wait, was that a dream. Gosh I hate it when I wake up to early). I'm rebuilding a Coupe, a Tailwind and a Yak. Actually I'm the slave labor, working off my A&P charges. I am a very experienced corrosion remover. That's all they will let me do. I too haven't cranked the plane in two weeks. I reconnected the heat and did a run up to test it and now the poor plane just sets there. Snow and Ice on the wings. High winds. Hey, this is the Sunny South - Actually High in the Smokys, but, where is all that Global Warming I've been hearing about. I'm still working on that IFR rating. Gossip a lot, around the airport. A twin student could not get the gear down one night so we all watched and graded his "gear up" landing. He did good - of course he had experience. He did the same thing the weekend before. Very little damage, the plane was flying the next weekend. One thing I have "discovered" during this time of just "hanging": You get a group of A&P's and Pilots together and they will spend two hours debating on the best way to do a 15 minute job. (Then break for lunch). Well back into the Coupes Belly. There's corrosion to be removed. (So many Coupes, So little time). Anyway a little cleaner vapors in those tight spaces and that Hooters girl will be back in no time. Have a good Winter. See you after the Spring thaw.
