All this talk of the bad storm.
Last monday I was on the only plane out of Ohare at 8am. Almost didn't make
it. One of the flight attendants was late and we could not board until she
arrived and did her safety check. The gal at the podium asked us to line up
at the door and be prepared to hurry on board because they were about to
close the field any minute.
Finally got on board bound for Tampa Bay. I talked to my wife every night
and she told me about the progress of the storm while I told her of the
progress of decorating our Florida room.... Fair exchange..I thought...
One week later I arrived back at Ohare and dug my car out of the snow and
drove home..... I was miserable...... I walked in the house and told my wife
to call United and get me on the next plane back to Tampa......
