Perhaps Syd, but a significant portion of the article dealt with the spin/stall resistant qualities of the aircraft, and the portion I "quoted" dealt with performance characteristics. That was what I was referring to. I really like the Lancair, and there are several being built in my area as we speak. I can only hope that before I meet my maker, I'll have the opportunity to fly one. The Columbia sounds like a real special aircraft. Never flown a "side stick" --- should be interesting, especially using the left hand. Doug
