Ron: Thanks for the "Flying" article. That took some time, and I appreciate it. I also think I may not have made my point clear on the "gen." thing. I didn't mean to diminish the right of one to ask questions. One only gains knowledge by doing so, but there are obviously some on this forum that are doing their own "airworthiness" work and do not possess an AP "card". Any work of that type,needs to be done under the direct supervision of a qualified AP, in order to "pass muster" with the feds. Just trying to caution those this applies to, to watch their conversation on this forum, and advise of the penalties involved, to say nothing about the issue of safety. Questions should continue to be asked, and appropriate answers given by knowledgeable persons, as has been the case. The answers however, should on airworthiness items, be forwarded to ones AP.
