this is an update to my reg /gen scenario on my way back from the Nat'ls I called my mechanic and gave him basically the info I told you all about we got together and first thing was to check the battery water it was fine we took off the reg cover and cleaned up the contacts put it back together and fired up and my charge is back. Didn't do any thing to the gen yet ,'going to fly around to close area and monitor closely this may give me the time to see if it's intermittent and gen related . so I guess as of now hings are looking better
thanx to all that responded BTW i don't profess to be a mechanic at all just like to get the problem solved properly I'm particularly not so hot on electrical problems just looking to hopefully isolate or identify with yours and my mechanics help (his primarily) I never do anything other than preventative just to set the record straight dennis 99564
