Hi, We just finished putting our elevator back on for the second time. You can remove the elevator bellcrank without removing the elevator. Just remove the four bolts holding the bellcrank bushing blocks to the rear of the fuselage (after you remove the tail cone). Then you can tip the bellcrank sideways and remove the elevator cables one at a time. Make sure you mark
which cable is which. Once you have it out on the bench, changing the bushings should be straight forward. To reinstall you will need a couple of 1/4" bolts about 1-1/2 " long. Once you have the elevator cables hooked back up to the bellcrank, use the two long 1/4 " bolts to pull the whole assembly back into place so you can put two of the original bolts and nuts in.
