Not being an expert or really very knowledgable, I will go out on a limb and take exception to the "1/8 inch limit on control surfaces. I believe 5/16 is allowable between aileron surfaces (if the aileron weights are removed). My books aren't handy, but I think there is an AD to that effect - or is it in the service procedures?
