On the topic of engine mount bushings...
Replacing the engine mount bushings is indeed a piece of
maintenance work that would require an A&P to return to service.
However it is a "minor" repair not a "major" repair. It is only a
replacement of the part. A "major" repair would be something like a
welded repair on the mount itself.
