There was nothing in your initial message that suggested that you installed courier-authlib.
Your previous message showed that you have installed the entire kitchen sink, except for the mysql module, which is why you don't see any MySQL activity. You have both authpwd and authshadow installed, which is never correct; you also have a bunch of other modules, except for authmysql. Mystery solved.
You need to install the MySQL development toolkit, and recompile courier-authlib to get mysql support.
