That couldn't possibly work, as you haven't included a tag (e.g. "A STARTTLS"). Please copy-paste accurately! In fact, judging by the above, you must have typed "STARTTLS STARTTLS" But, are you saying that the server responded STARTTLS OK..., it dropped the connection immediately? Or did it wait, and then dropped it when you started sending more characters? If it dropped the connection immediately, probably either couriertls is not installed or located (see the "COURIERTLS" setting in the 'imapd-ssl' config file), or you have not created the server certificate (run "mkimapdcert") > When I repeated the same dialog in a server without problems, it > didn´t close the conection after the input "STARTTLS" and rested > waiting > another commands.
