Can you post both config files please?
What happens if you try each of the following at the command line:
openssl s_client -connect 127.0.0.1:995
openssl s_client -ssl3 -connect 127.0.0.1:995
openssl s_client -tls1 -connect 127.0.0.1:995
In each case, if you get a successful connection (+OK), type
CAPA
USER <username>
PASS <password>
and post the transcript of the session (with the password blanked out, and
you can snip the certificate info printed by s_client)
