This is courier-imap v4.4.0. I'd not noticed anything like this when using Kmail on my Mandrake 10.1 box and don't remember seeing it until I switched over to Gnome with Evolution. Am I possibly missing some files or is something out of whack somewhere else?
If the above messages are correct, your IMAP client is sending invalid folder names.
