« HTML content follows »i see IMAP_MAILBOX_SANITY_CHECK=0 if i disable it, can use mailboxes into anothers? like : user1: /home/user1 user2: /home/user1/user2 ????due i checked and seems courier-imapd does not like it! but IMAP_MAILBOX_SANITY_CHECK=0 will permit that?
This setting does not permit anything. If you disable it, the server will not check that the Maildir's uid and gid matches the imap server's process.
This is one of those things that if you're not sure what it does, you shouldn't change the default setting. If you are an experienced sysadmin running a highly-customized server that uses filesystem ACLs that permit finer-grained access control than the traditional userid/groupid based POSIX filesystem permissions, and for whatever reason you configured multiple accounts using different userid and groupid, but the same home directory and maildir, and you have a good reason to do so, then disabling this sanity check will allow the server to attempt to do its job even though it doesn't think it actually owns the mailbox.
