So what? Gamin's purpose is very focused, and narrow.Once the task of implementing filesystem monitoring is complete, there's nothing else to do.
The kernel APIs don't change. No new functionality is needed. The code is be written in plain, garden variety C. C hasn't changed in decades. There's nothing to update, any more.
