Better yet, ADD THE PATCH YOURSELF and put that version in your distro. It's only 4 lines, it's not that hard, as you yourself have said. Correct me if I'm wrong, but sam doesn't get paid for writing courier. He wrote it because it scratched an itch for him, and was nice enough to provide it here for everyone else to use also. Modify it for your own needs.
