I've had constant authentication problems with using authdaemon, authvchkpwd, and vpopmail. I cranked MAXPERIP WAY up and that helped the problem SOME, but did NOT eliminate it completely. I'm now trying to use authvchkpwd WITHOUT authdaemon to see if that helps. I'm running on a Celeron 500 MHz w/ 256 MB of RAM and Redhat Linux 7.2. Peace....
