Quoting gui gui <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: | Edwin, hi. A few days ago you replied to my cry for | help suggesting I try ports instead of actual compiles. | Like I mentioned to you, my ports system is giving me | trouble, but my compile is not working and nobody has | been able to help me yet. | So I am back to the ports idea...here is the deal. | the machine is a freebsd 4.4 "virtual machine" on a | hosted server. This means I get the minimum install | and only like 150 extra megabytes of free space. | Because of this the ports tree is not local. | Now, I am trying to add packages, but I keep getting | errors. Any package I add fails (at one point they | worked, but I dont know what it is that broke since then) | Here is what I get
Try a simple # ftp ftp.freebsd.org ftp> cd /pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-4-stable/All ftp> get courier-imap-1.4.3.tgz Once downloaded use pkg_add. I hope it is configured the way you need it. I have no idea that is why I prefer to compile it from ports, but you have a difficult situation. I hope this works for you, ed _______________________________________________________________ Sponsored by: ThinkGeek at http://www.ThinkGeek.com/ _______________________________________________ courier-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-users
