Well, I had read the Sophos MailMonitor docs and FAQ, and I didn't find
a way to configure SMTP Auth on it, or relay control! What I mean is, it
will turn my SMTP on an open-relay for spammers?
On what I can get from the docs I see these:
- I can't filter access to the MailMonitor from the outside world
(well, if I need to receive email I need the SMTP server to talk to the
world);
- It can only deliver to one machine then I can't setup it to be my
outgoing smtp server;
- My customers need to send email to other domains, then I need to
accept mail from the MailMonitor and relay it!
I'm right on this?
I'm thinking on using courier because of it's authmodules (MySQL,
LDAP) and virtual mail aproach... but I'm thinking on setup a sendmail /
postfix / qmail, with AMAVIS acting like MailMonitor to secure courier!
