Hi,

I'm very stuck here. I've found various mentions about editing the
prefs.js file and using advanced dialog on the server setting dialog,
but they don't help.

Setting the server sub directory to INBOX. in prefs.js *almost* works,
but I get an error saying "The current command did not succeed. The
mail server responded: Invalid Mailbox."

[...]

IMAP server directory: INBOX.
Show only subscribed folders: Checked
Server supports folders that contain sub-folders and messages: Checked
Maximum number of server connections to cache: 5 (not sure if this matters so much)
Personal namespace: _Blank_
Public (shared): shared.
Other Users: _Blank_
Allow server to override these namespaces: Unchecked

You may need to restart mozilla after, but this setup works.

Yes I'm replying to my own, so be it, I want to add a bit of information.

It was pointed out to me that Sam has given a different way of setting up these boxes via http://www.inter7.com/courierimap/README.imap.html

(This was pointed out in a personal email which by courtesy I do not indulge)

While the way stated there does work, it lists INBOX.* folders as sub-folders of INBOX, whereas the way stated in my previous response allows all INBOX.* folders to be listed inline with INBOX.

Also, the way stated on that site says tested with Messenger 4.7. The latest Mozilla is essentially Netscape 7, where the mail setup has drastically changed. I see the options are about the same though.

Maybe Sam could update the site to also add additional information regarding NS7/Mozilla and why the values I list above need to be enetered the way they are to get the folders listed inline?

Thanks,
-jesse
