Hello,
after installing courier-0.40.2 (on FreeBSD 4.6.2, default
configure options except prefix path) testmxlookup always fails with "soft
error" message but dig command for same domain works fine. The
previous MTA on same server (qmail) does not have any problem with dns
lookups.
