The latest Mozilla is essentially Netscape 7, where the mail setup has drastically changed. I see the options are about the same though.
I find that Mozilla automatically sets everything up correctly, without any manual tweaking. Nothing really needs to be done by hand.

Sorry to bring this up one last time, but I've played with settings in Mozilla and found that I was incorrect on some spots. Below is the settings I NOW use, allowing IMAP folders to display inline with INBOX:
IMAP server directory: INBOX.
Show only subscribed folders: Checked
Server supports folders that contain sub-folders and messages: Checked
Maximum number of server connections to cache: 4
Personal namespace: _Blank_
Public (shared): _Blank_
Other Users: _Blank_
Allow server to override these namespaces: Checked
Basically the only thing you really have to do is put "INBOX." in the IMAP server field, the rest can be as default (I put the cache to 4 as per Sam saying that's all Courier-IMAP does).
If you leave out INBOX. from there, then your IMAP folders will list as sub-folders of INBOX.
I'm not sure why that setup didn't originally work with me, it may be because I kepe on top of the nightly Mozilla builds - could've been an error on my part, sorry!
I have notices some other quirks in my Mozilla where the sub-folders weren't displaying for just 1 of my IMAP accounts until I changed settings, then put them back - It wouldn't even let me see the subscribed folders when I tried to update the list! Such is life.
Well hope this information helps anyone trying Netscape 7 or Mozilla as there really is minimal setup that needs to be done.
I tested this on latest nightly from within the last couple weeks both in Windows XP and in Linux, so all is well now.
Thanks,
