Thanks, but I'm not asking how to change it. Seeing as how I'm the one that mentioned the man page in the first place, I think I can get that part. I'm asking if use of <@> in the From: header is legal. It does not appear to be valid under RFC2822. It is entirely possible that Sam knows something I don't - given his track record on standards compliance I automatically give him the benefit of the doubt - but if so, I'd like to find out what.Create etc/dsnfrom with this line: "Delivery Status Notification" <MAILER-DAEMON>
And I'm not talking about SMTP, I'm not talking about the envelope sender, so references to RFC2821 are *not* relevant.
So, back to my original question: Am I missing something?
