Ok I figured out why it couldn't create the .mailfilter file. I had to change /etc/courier/maildirfilterconfig:
MAILDIRFILTER=../.mailfilter MAILDIR=./Maildir to MAILDIRFILTER=./.mailfilter. MAILDIR=./Maildir
because maildir=homedir for my virtual users.
Well, I don't know if this has anything to do with it (or even if I'm right about it, since I don't have mail filters set up myself) but if maildir=homedir as you say, shouldn't MAILDIR be "." instead of "./Maildir"? -- Someone with real experience in mail filters should speak up though... I don't know if it'll fix his problem, but isn't that the right path to put there, guys?

P.S. And just out of curiosity... Did you really intend to write MAILDIRFILTER to be "./.mailfilter." or did you mean "./.mailfilter" instead? -- Not that I think the extra dot at the end would make much difference as long as everything else is set up properly, but it sure seems unnecessary to have it in your filename.
