I've adjusted module.esmtp to:

NAME=esmtp
PRIORITY=50
PROG=./courieresmtp
MAXDELS=500
MAXHOST=75
MAXRCPT=100
LIBRARY=librewrite.la

I'm not sure how to figure out my queuelo/queuehi/etc.

These are 99% forwarded messages... IOW, message comes in,
runs through a default maildrop script which runs an
external program that spits out a forwarding address. It's
not at all expensive, the external program is a very simple
and light perl lookup program.

Yes! How exactly can I do that? As long as courier can
continue chewing through the mailq and send out all the
queued up outgoing mail, I have no problem temporarily
shutting down the incoming smtp. I'm just not sure how to do
that.
