Hi,

First off let me apologize for the fact that I am probably going to ask a really dumb question; my excuse is that I have now read _everything_ I can find about Courier and I still can't get it to work!

I am running a Debian testing machine and have downloaded and installed basically all the Courier packages as debs (except the pop parts as I will be using imap). I have managed to get Courier to send mail to and from localhost and I can send / recieve mail on my local network machines. I can also route mail out bound (as this mail proves).

The only thing that seems to be broken in fact is recieving mail from the outside world for my domains. I have put my domains in the locals file, I have tried creating (and populating) the esmtpacceptmailfor.dir directory. I have made the hosteddomains directory. I have run makealises, makeacceptmailfor, hakehosteddomians and the others. Some of these things I am pretty sure I shouldn't have even need to run.

I am totally stuck as to where to go from here. On my previous machine I used qmail and so populated the rcpthosts file. I expected something similar but can't find it.

Please help as I have spent ages trying to get this working!

A million thanks to anyone that helps me solve this.

Graham
