It does exactly what it says.  ALL senders must authenticate - even ones 
sending mail to users at your domain.  With AUTH_REQUIRED turned on courier 
will not accept ANY mail unless the sending host has authenticated first.   
So yes, you're right, all your mail will be rejected unless the sending 
server authenticates first.
