Well it sure looks to me like courier *thinks* you have an alias defined.  
Humor me for a moment please and make sure that

ls -a /usr/lib/courier/etc/aliasdir

show nothing in that directory.  (.courier files are "hidden" so you'll need 
the '-a' switch.  That has tripped me up more than once. :-)
