Hello,

I'm about to exchange automaticly generated reports with another company
via an extra net. They expected that we are using outlook but infact we
use plain smtp (courier ofcourse).

As it turns out they require us to turn on SSL (SMTPS/465) and
authentication but since we don't use outlook there FAQ doesn't answer my
question on "how do I do this?"

The reports are generated and dilivered to our courier with plain SMTP/25.
The courier is a relay and will forward it do there host using SMTP/465.

>From the sourceforge.net archive of this list I learned that courier
doesn't talk SSL.

- Is this correct.

If it is can I proxy it through stunnel for example?

- How do I enable the authentication part in courier? Is this possible at
all? I mean authentication to there host! Not ours. Ours will use plain
SMTP as it does now since the report generator doesn't understand
  anything else.

Many thanks... the archive and google didn't help me this time... maybe
anyone can point me in the right direction?

J.
