Most of my users simply use POP3 to get their email.  This is one of
the few users who actually have spam sorting rules on the server.

Since it's just this one guy, I would rather educate him.  I figure
that having a ton of spam dumped into his mailbox each time would be
a good deterrent to deleting the spam folder. :)

Nobody has answered my original question:

If I surround a delivery instruction with an exception and the
delivery fails due to a non-existent folder, will the message be
delivered to the default location, or will the mail still back up in
the queue due to the failed delivery attempt?
