Hi.
I am trying to backup my email from a linux box to a windows box, and am unable to do so because of the file names.
Here's my setup: Mandrake 10, postfix, procmail, spamassassin, courier-imap.
Everything is working correctly. No problems there. I am trying to rsync all the Maildirs to an offsite server running Windows2000.
Problem is, all the file names are are like this on the linux box: 1101703450.26311_1.mailbox.my.domain:2,S 1096465444.M167233P12287V0000000000000805I00033DCE_20.mailbox.my.domain,S=2339:2,RS
When I try to copy, windows doesn't like the colons or commas, and I end up with a bunch of 0-length files.
Is there a way to change what characters are used in the filenames? Or is there another backup method I should be using?
Thanks, John
