I would object in this situation, somehow.
In my case event sequence was this:
(0. maildir with 10 MB quota created and activated to accept mail)

1. 5.5 MB mail delivered
2. 4.51 MB mail rejected, remains in queue
3. first mail (5.5 MB) read, removed from mailbox
4. no mail accepted

It seems slightly illogical to me for mailbox with 4.5 MB free to reject
message of size 700 - 1200 bytes. Small mail could be delivered even in this
situation.

5. some time after, message from queue gets delivered, other messages are
being delivered as well, subject to retry intervals

Which quota do you mean? In maildirsize? This one got recomputed when mailbox
was read and emptied.

OK, I agree. With upper limit of two hours, it is acceptable in real life.
Sending server takes care of retrying. In courier's case, it just works.
Tested in real life :)

Do you mean courier clear? Yes, I did read full documentation, more than once,
but not everything came into my memory. Maybe some formal change could make
it a bit more readable/memorable, however I am not in position to tell how.
After all, I can find almost anything necessary :)

Thanks for explanation. Continue your great work, please.
