Sure, but in order to find out if the OOM-killer behaves
in a stupid way, it may help to try _w/o_ swap.
(I remember this hint from someone on the ck-mailinglist,
  maybe it was even from Con Kolivas himself)

But I guess that upgrading to a 2.6 kernel would be the
most helpful step...
