I dimly recall that there was some occasion where typos or errors in authmysqlrc resulted in a segfault. I don't remember the details. It was a long time ago.
In any case, I don't understand where you got this three-year old version from. The current version on the download page is 0.60.2, and that's what you should download, build, and install. Presumably you've just installed this, so how you ended up with this three-year old code, instead of the current version, is a mystery to me.
