Probably one can point directly to a shell script from the 
courier/maildropfilter configuration file. I use a small C program in 
order to make life easier in the shell script, which is invoked on 
both filtering and delivering. Perhaps that solution may inspire some 
ideas for the BTS; it is roughly exemplified in a 2006 post of mines,
