We are currently using Courier to act as an internal smart host to our
Exchange server. I am trying to properly setup SPF, but am missing some
key element here. I've read through the Courier documentation, but I am
a bit lost in the various keywords...

I'm running a Gentoo box, with the Courier portage package. The default
/etc/courier/bofh file has the following relevant lines:

opt BOFHSPFTRUSTME=1

opt BOFHSPFHELO=pass,neutral,unknown,none,error,softfail,fail

opt BOFHSPFFROM=all

opt BOFHSPFMAILFROM=all

As I understand it, this basically allows unfiltered email to make it's
way to our mail server. I'd like to enable SPF to prevent domain
spoofing (and just plain junk mail). Could someone please explain the
keywords a little better?

Thanks,

Joey
