Well, as I said I did tests with Thunderbird (with POP) and it works perfectly. The problem is that my customers want to use outlook 2007 (not the "Express" version).
Moreover, even if the problem comes from outlook itself I don't understand why it works fine with gmail (with the POP server). Can this comes from Gentoo itself or another component ? In my mind, because mails are not duplicated on the server, the problem is somewhere in the system "POP - OUTLOOK". Is there a doc where the mail fetching process is explained (the use of the courierpop3dsizelist) aspecially concerning the identification of new mails. For info, I just did a new test with an older gentoo (wich runs Courier IMAP / POP) and that times this works. The configuration is the same than the other server except that the "bugged" one uses spam assassin. Anyway thanks, for your help :) Sebastien Le 7 oct. 09 à 11:45, Alexander Hotmail a écrit : > I am suing Outlook Express with Courier IMAP and it works perfectly. > Why > don't you use Outlook Express? > > Alexander > > -----Original Message----- > From: Sébastien VINOT [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Wednesday, October 07, 2009 9:13 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [courier-users] Specific option for outlook 2007 - > courier-pop3 > > Thanks for the clue but unfortunately with or without the option I > have the same result (with outlook I mean). > > I'm continuing investigating by using tcpdump on POP3 but I did not > find multiple "RETR" when outlook gets multiple mails.
