Hi all! Just a quick note to let you know that Workantile Exchange will be opening in Ann Arbor next week. A lot of work has been poured into the space by lots of people, most notably by founder Mike Kessler, and we're very excited to see the doors finally opening.
Website here: http://workantileexchange.com There are some construction pics on the site there now; will likely be updated in the next day or two with more finished stuff. We've been waiting on our tables - they don't arrive til tomorrow. Argh! http://workantileexchange.com/gallery.html WorkEx is a little different from some of the other coworking spaces we've looked at, in that we don't rent desks. It's a general membership structure and is focused on building a community of independent workers of all flavors, not just techies. We have writers and artists and filmmakers, as well as the requisite smattering of web workers, and hope to keep diversity of fields in the general membership. See http://workantileexchange.com/about.html for a more polished explanation. WorkEx also has rentable training space; there's a large room upstairs and several smaller conference rooms. A pair of local coders have been running a Ruby on Rails class in the large space and it's going very well. We haven't worked out all the details on day passes, but they will be available, and we will be honoring the Coworking Visa, should you ever be passing through town. If you need more info on the space or how to join, there's more on the website, as well as a link to apply for membership. Or you can just ask me. :) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Coworking" group.
