Here at the Hive at 55 <http://www.hiveat55.com>, we are a little over one
month old and are considering ways to get potential members through the
door. One idea is creating a Meetup group - but for what? For our space? For
freelancers in the neighborhood? We are in the heart of Lower Manhattan, so
terms like neighborhood and community can sometimes seem so daunting, and we
don't want to limit ourselves to the immediate area. We are having a jelly
in the near future, FYI.

I've been attending Meetups and contacting organizers to offer our space for
future meetups and this has been a great start. But I'd like to know how
other coworking spaces have utilized meetup.com in the past, specifically,
have you created a group and has it been successful? Do you have any other
recommendations beside what I mentioned above? Is there something else out
there that is a more appropriate place to look into?

Thanks,

Brian DiFeo
