Hey Alex, I'm a blasphemer, I've broken the first cardinal rule of coworking ;-)
I definitely feel that lack of conventional hierarchical management structure, that often is the detriment to collaboration, is something that's great about coworking. When these barriers are removed, people are freer to take initiative, direct their own purpose and interact with each other on a creative level. I think this is when the stories will come into play. In fact, the usefulness of stories and storytelling is something I'm also very interested in. I remember reading that successful storytelling will be key to designing the new ways we live and work. Interestingly, storytelling is a very right-brain centric skill used more by creative, design and artistic people, rather than analytical left-brained people. We should all keep an eye on the ideas coming out of coworking...
